Heraeus Electronics(Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is open! New metal ceramic substrate products are introduced to China for the first time

2024-12-30

With my country's adjustment of export tax rebates for batteries and other products, and the strengthening trend of automobile manufacturing going overseas, the position of China's automobile market and supply chain in the global value chain is changing rapidly. Against the backdrop of an overall decline in global foreign investment, some foreign companies in China are also building new production capacity or implementing a series of additional measures, which is particularly noteworthy.

Recently, the new factory of Heraeus Electronic Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. under the German technology group Heraeus was officially put into operation in Changshu, Jiangsu. This is the second company established by Heraeus in Changshu, and it is also a key step in introducing new metal ceramic substrate products to China for localized production. It will fill the gap in related domestic technologies and provide support for the development of electric vehicles, new energy and other fields in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Chairman and CEO of Heraeus Group,  Jan Rinnert

"We have been deeply rooted in China for 50 years. China has always occupied an extremely important position in the group's global strategy." Chairman and CEO of Heraeus Group, who visited China twice in the past 20 days Jan Rinnert said that the commissioning of the new factory once again demonstrated their strategic concept of "in China, for China". "The continuous introduction of new technologies and the increase of production capacity in China show that we still have confidence in the local market and hope to participate in it."

Faced with challenges such as declining battery export tax rebates, offshoring of automobile production capacity and economic downturn, as well as risks brought about by global geopolitical conflicts, the core of continuing to increase investment in China is the long-term thinking upheld by these century-old multinational companies.

"We have experienced many challenges. The world is moving forward in such cyclical fluctuations. We are long-termists and believe that global cooperation will become closer," said Ling Ruide. "Some people see the glass as half empty. As an entrepreneur, I see the other half of the glass as full."

For a large number of foreign-invested enterprises in China, while facing up to the challenges, they are also optimistically seeing the "glass is half full" and seizing the emerging opportunities in China.
